Notes per network
Every network sets its own rules. These are the ones people run into most.
Facebook Page
Section titled “Facebook Page”- You connect Pages, not personal profiles. Facebook doesn’t let any tool post to personal profiles.
- Sign in with a Facebook account that has full control of the Page, then pick the Pages to add.
- Post types: Post, Story or Reel. See Reels and Stories.
There are two ways to connect, and both need a professional Instagram account (Business or Creator).
- Instagram (Facebook Business): the Instagram account must be a business account connected to a Facebook Page. You sign in with Facebook. Use this if you also manage the Page.
- Instagram (Standalone): sign in with Instagram directly, no Facebook Page needed.
Instagram allows up to 25 API posts per day per account, and 30 hashtags per post.
Threads
Section titled “Threads”Sign in with the Instagram account that owns the Threads profile. Replies to your Threads posts can show in the inbox.
LinkedIn (profile) and LinkedIn Page
Section titled “LinkedIn (profile) and LinkedIn Page”- LinkedIn posts as you, on your personal profile.
- LinkedIn Page posts as a company Page. You must be an admin of the Page. After signing in you pick the Page.
- Only LinkedIn Page comments show in the inbox.
You are connected as whichever X account is signed in to x.com in your browser at that moment. Sign out of x.com first if you want to add a different account.
TikTok
Section titled “TikTok”The Add Channel list has two TikTok entries: Tiktok (personal or creator accounts) and TikTok for TikTok Business accounts. Only the Business connection can show comments in the inbox, and only when your workspace has that permission approved by TikTok.
YouTube
Section titled “YouTube”Sign in with the Google account that owns the channel, then pick the channel. YouTube Community posts can’t be created through YouTube’s API, so they’re not available.
Connect your Pinterest account. You choose the board for each Pin in the post’s Pinterest settings. Up to 20 hashtags per Pin.
Bluesky
Section titled “Bluesky”Enter your Service (leave https://bsky.social unless you use another host), your Identifier (handle or email) and Password. Two-factor authentication must be off for the account. We recommend creating an App password in Bluesky settings and using that.
Mastodon
Section titled “Mastodon”Mastodon connects to the Mastodon server your PostNimbo workspace is set up for (usually mastodon.social). You can’t type in a different server.
Paste your Nostr private key in HEX format. It is stored with your channel so PostNimbo can sign posts for you. Use a key you’re comfortable keeping in a scheduling tool.
Google Business
Section titled “Google Business”Listed as Google My Business. Sign in with the Google account that manages the business profile, then pick the location. Google allows one photo or video per update. Reviews can show in the inbox.
