Failed posts and automatic retries

When a network rejects a post, it’s marked as failed in the calendar and you’re notified (bell, and email if Failure Emails is on). Open the post to see the network’s reason.

Retry automatically

1. Go to Settings → Publishing (admins).

2. Set Retry failed posts to Once, 2, 3 or 5 times.

3. Set Wait between retries (5 minutes up to 24 hours).

You’re notified once, after the last attempt fails.

What is retried

Only cases where the network rejected the main post are retried. To avoid posting twice, PostNimbo doesn’t retry when it can’t tell whether the post went out (for example a timeout), when the channel needs reconnecting, or for failed comments. Repeat-post occurrences after the first aren’t retried.

Fix and retry by hand

1. Open the failed post.

2. Fix what the error message says (text too long, wrong image size, missing permission).

3. Pick a new time and save, or use Post Now.
