Frequently asked questions
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”Which networks can I post to? Facebook Pages, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn (profile and Page), X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Nostr, Google Business and more. Your workspace may not offer all of them. See Notes per network.
Can I post to my personal Facebook profile? No. Facebook only allows tools to post to Pages. See Notes per network.
Does my Instagram account need to be a business account? It needs to be a professional account (Business or Creator). See Notes per network.
How do I keep clients separate? Create one brand per client. Each brand has its own channels, posts, team and settings.
Can my client approve posts without seeing everything else? Yes. Invite them with the Client role, or add them to their brand only. See Invite your team and Approvals.
Is there a mobile app? Not yet. PostNimbo works in your phone’s browser with a tab bar. See Use PostNimbo on your phone.
Publishing
Section titled “Publishing”How do I write different text for each network? Open the channel’s tab in the composer and select Edit content. See Customise a post per channel.
Can I add a first comment to Instagram or LinkedIn? Yes, with Add first comment. See Threads and first comments.
Why can’t I post an Instagram Reel with trending audio? Instagram’s API doesn’t allow it. Schedule a reminder and post it from the Instagram app.
What’s the best time to post? Use Best time in the composer or the heat map in Analyze.
How do I schedule many posts at once? Use bulk CSV import (up to 500 rows), or set posting times and fill the queue.
Can I stop a post right after I press Post Now? Yes, if your admin has switched on the undo window.
Can posts repeat automatically? Yes. See Repeat posts and Repost old posts.
I closed the composer by accident. Is my post gone? New posts are autosaved in your browser for 24 hours. Open the composer and select Restore. See Drafts and autosave.
How do I stop everything for a client during a crisis? Pause publishing for the brand. Nothing is deleted.
Can I see my schedule in Google Calendar? Yes, with a calendar feed.
Can I add polls? On X, LinkedIn and Mastodon. See Polls.
Do I have to label AI content? Some networks ask for it. Tick Content is AI-generated and PostNimbo sets the label where the network supports it.
Engage
Section titled “Engage”Which messages show in the inbox? Comments, mentions, direct messages (Facebook and Instagram) and Google reviews, depending on the network. See The inbox.
Why don’t my TikTok comments show? Only the TikTok Business connection supports comments, and it needs approval from TikTok. See The inbox.
Can PostNimbo reply automatically? Yes, with automations, including AI replies.
How do we avoid two people answering the same comment? Assign conversations, and watch for … is viewing or … is replying. See Assign, resolve and see who’s working.
Analyze
Section titled “Analyze”How often are my analytics updated? Once a day, or now with Refresh data. See Refreshing data.
Can I track my competitors? On Instagram, X, YouTube, Bluesky and Mastodon, up to 20 per workspace. See Competitors.
Can I send a report to my client? Yes, Export → Export PDF in Analyze. See Export reports.
Settings and problems
Section titled “Settings and problems”Can I use my own logo and domain? Yes. See White label and custom domain.
Can I use PostNimbo from Claude or ChatGPT? Yes, with the MCP connector.
My channel says it’s disconnected. See Channel needs reconnecting.
